COMMON SENSE POLICE TACTICS
This program consists of reviewing negative shooting or use of force incidents. TTSGI instructors will work with agency staff to develop a training module with positive results. Current use of force incidents are increasing. This program creates confidence in the officer and gets to the “Nuts & Bolts” of managing an incident without convoluted and protracted training modules which may not have the outcome that was intended.
Officer safety, command presence, community standards & the law enforcement agency’s mission is the corner stone of this program.
“Common Sense Police Tactics” are designed to overcome the officer’s response to not exceed his or her level of competence. Especially in motor vehicle operation, call response and initial street encounters.
Using the “Laser Shot” Judgmental Shooting Simulator is a valuable tool to instill “Shoot/Don’t Shoot” platforms. The “Laser Shot” Judgmental Shooting Simulator takes the officer through all levels of force options. From verbal command to use of O.C., Taser, Impact Weapon to Firearm.
Our “Live Fire” Range programs are designed to current “Use of Force Shooting” events, emphasizing evolving training instead of static shooting courses. Officers are tasked with decision making and shooting from locations that they would normally not shot from i.e. car and limited light situations, which are becoming increased threats to “officer safety”.
